My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY LISTING-

Dakota was born 5-1-2013, so he's about a year old now.

He is neutered, shots are up to date and is chipped.

He has been to puppy classes, and has some basic obedience skills.

He is about 50 lbs, wants to play, eager to please. He has been around children and does well with ages 7 and up, wants to play with cat even if cat don't want to, wants to play with smaller dogs (15 lbs and smaller) but being a large pup comes off rough.

He is easily bored, Loves long walks, rides in cab of truck, learning to play in water. In the house he tends to follow you around, Loves to be loved.

Dakota, being a pup, likes to do his own landscaping. So far he hasn't showed any signs of wanting to take walks on his own and has gotten along with other dogs that he's had come into contact with.

He can get possessive around food bowl by putting both front paws around sides of bowl and growling, so this will need to be worked with through positive reinforcement to ensure it doesn't escalate. He will wait his turn for treats without any problem.

I keep him well stocked with chewsso he has never chewed on the furniture. This dog has never been enclosed in a crate, kennel or tied up.

The only reason the family has to rehome him is due to a death in the family that required two households merging. The other household had small dogs, and Dakota's play style has raised concerns about him accidentally hurting one in his play.
