Buddy ~ URGENT's Story...
Is there anyone out there who will help Buddy? He's just 12 months old and he's at the age where he's trying to be the boss of the household, which is normal in the adolescent stage of puppy to dog development. He needs a home - temporary foster care or permanent family - where someone will train him and show him love and patience. Right now Buddy needs to be rescued. He was neutered on Feb. 1, but he needs a house, preferably with a fenced yard because he's so used to having one, where he can recover and be cared for while we find his forever home, or you could be his new loving family. If you would like to help Buddy, please contact us right away. We know this little pup has the potential to be a GREAT dog. He's sweet, playful and friendly. But he needs training and someone to love. Please email pawsforliferescue@comcast.net right away.

Buddy is a happy boy! He's a playful, friendly and affectionate dog who needs a loving family. He's neutered, housetrained, 12 months old and weighs 50 lbs. Buddy loves to play outside in his fenced yard and he LOVES to play catch. His favorite things in the world are being affectionate with people, playing catch, swimming, playing with other dogs and riding in the car. His favorite toys are a giant stuffed penguin and his mini-basketball. He plays well with other dogs his size and bigger. He's still a got a lot of puppy in him and doesn't know his size, so small dogs may not fair too well. Buddy loves life and he rides well in the car. He's energetic and he likes kids, but because he hasn't been taught how big he is, he may knock over small children. He loves people and toys. Buddy is a smart dog and knows "sit" and "come." He does chase cats and should have a home with no cats. Buddy is due for annual vaccinations in December 2008. He's just a great dog who need a loving family or a temporary foster care home. Please email pawsforliferescue@comcast.net.

Adoption Process:
Send an email to pawsforliferescue@comcast.net to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week trial run with the pet as part of your family. This is a trial period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the trial time and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then you sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy ~ URGENT, a Troy Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Troy, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
