Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Max is safe in a Maine foster home, and is now looking for his forever family!
March 2014 update: Max has found a loving foster family with two other dogs, a teenage buddy, and lots of play and snuggle time. He is a total lovebug! It's obvious that prior to ending up as a stray in central Maine, that he must have lived with a family. He is smart and sweet and knows how to do his business outdoors. He is very loyal and will make a great companion with someone who can be a good leader and provide him lots of opportunities to use that smart brain and active body!
February 2014: Max is a medium sized mixed breed dog who needs a loving foster or forever home as soon as possible. He was a stray in central Maine and is currently in a kennel environment which is no place for a young dog to grow up! He has bonded with staff and is good with the other dogs he has met. The vet thought he was just about one year old, and he charmed everyone at the office with his cute looks and great personality.
He is just knee high and reminds us of a "pocket pittie"! Max is going to be neutered shortly, is up to date on his vaccines and is ready to keep you busy and to learn what it's like to live in a home.
To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org, or request an application via email, luckypuprescue@yahoo.com.
Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
