Meet Mason. He is a sweetheart of a dog. He loves to follow people around. he is what we call a Velcro dog. He will nuzzle you, rub up against you and cuddle too. He is all about given and receiving love. He plays with squeaky toys but isn't one to chase balls. He likes to play with other dogs and will engage them to play. Mason would like a family to call his own. He stares outside his kennel to get attention and will give you the puppy dog eyes. He knows basic commands and only needs a little reinforcement. You can pull on his ears or tail and he doesn't mind. this makes him a great candidate for a family with kids. He would be great with almost any kind of family. He is a favorite at the shelter because he is "a good dog". Does Mason sound like a match for you? Fill out an adoption application.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
