Mickey's Story...
My story is not so cheery I'm afraid. My name is Mickey, and I am only here at the shelter because my owner has become too I'll to care for me. I have no one else to take me in, so I was brought here in hopes I would find a forever home. I am 5-1/2 years young with so much love to give! Look into these big yellow eyes, they will tell my story, but will also show the life I have yet to live! Come take a peek at my beautiful markings...orange and white, spots, and stripes...beauty like you've never seen! I'll take some time to warm up, I'm a bit confused about what's going on, and just a bit scared. Given time, I'll warm up and curl up in your lap and best buds we will be!! I would be best with adults only, as I am a bit unpreditctable. I'm here in #125, please come visit me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mickey, a El Cajon Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
