There once was a filthy matted mess sitting in the cage at the shelter. In swooped our rescue team and after some TLC there emerged a prince named Apollo! A some separation anxiety and is extremely afraid of the dark. He seems to be improving every day with these anxieties and can sleep calmly in a crate if it is in the same room as his person at night. The little guy can be nervous and pee a little if over excited so he needs a dog savvy person who can train him and give him the security he needs. He is working hard on his house breaking now as well. Really all he needs is some basic obedience training and he will be a great dog for someone!
Apollo is very playful and great with other dogs including small puppies. He is affectionate and loves attention, but he's also very good at napping peacefully. He goes very happily into his crate at night (but is very anxious to be released promptly at 7am). He has very funny floppy ways and leaps about with spectacular jumps. He's great in the car and loves walks. He has shown some resource guarding behaviors and needs some structure and guidance. We recommend a home without small children due to his guarding behaviors.
