She is patient and protective of my small children and overly protective of our property. I think she gets too agitated with too many people passing by our condo. I think she would do better in a home with a backyard, where she could still be protective of her owners, yet have more space and not have so many people passing by. She is fixed and up to date on shots.
She definitely has some issues! When we first got her from a previous owner, she was extremely fearful. Once she got comfortable with us, she became super devoted to our family. My children have accidently stepped on her tail/paw on a few occasions and she did not growl or do anything aggressive towards them. However, she will try to nip/bite visitors to our home or people who walk by our fence line. It has taken her years to get comfortable with some of our extended family who visit frequently. I would describe her as very fearful, which manifests in biting to those who she perceives are a threat to our family.
I would keep her if we had a better set-up with a bigger yard for her to have some space. I just wanted to give a lot of info so someone could have a clear idea of what kind of dog she is. Once she bonds with you and your family, I think you will have a super devoted dog.
