Nicki's Story...
Nicki is a sweet, loving 8 year old "blue" Doberman. In short time Nicki has become very fond of her 6 & 9 year old (human) foster sisters. She goes to them quickly for ear rubs, neck scratches and hugs. Nicki absolutely loves her Nylabone. She chews on it, sleeps on it and brings it to you if you ask. We are working on plush toy play. Nicki knows some basic commands, such as sit and come; we are working on stay. While Nicki is extremely people friendly, she is still trying to adjust to sharing her foster home with a cat. She is working on comfort around other dogs by slow socialization. But she really would do best in a home with no other canine members! Nicki loves to have a large fenced in back yard to run in and use for the bathroom; while she has gone on a leash, she hesitates and is not used to doing so. Nicki loves to be taken for long walks. She is still working on not taking her human friend for a walk. So far, Nicki will not sit (or even try to) on any furniture or bed. She loves her dog bed, blankets, and pillow. Her bed is her go to spot. Nicki is fully house trained and is accustomed to free range of the home. She enjoys car rides and being taken anywhere possible from the bus stop, to the drive-thru bank, to a two hour car ride, she is your wing-gal! Nicki would benefit from a family who is home often. With an open heart and willingness to lay and cuddle with Nicki she will make a great Forever Dog. If you think that she could be your next family member please fill out an application at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nicki, a Sinking Spring Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Sinking Spring, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Sinking Spring.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sinking Spring already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sinking Spring breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sinking Spring paves the way for another one to be saved.
