Bella's Story...
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.

Bella, as her name implies, is a beautiful black onyx gem of a girl! We have no idea of her breed mix, but she looks just like a “mini-Lab” and has all the loyal traits of a Labrador but is the perfect size at only 16” tall at the shoulders and 29 lbs.! Bella is about a year old and is full grown! Bella really enjoys playing with larger dogs, especially tug-o-war, chase, and just plain frolicking around. She loves chew toys, playing fetch, and any toys that squeak, but when it’s time to settle down she transitions very easily into the role of a lap dog that loves to snuggle and cuddle on the couch with her human friends. Bella does well with dogs and kids of all ages and sizes but would be happiest in a home with someone to play with her. She is not a barker, is house-trained on a schedule and would benefit from a home where someone is home most of the time to maintain her house training and continue her socialization and to fulfill her deep desire for human companionship. This dog truly is a GEM and will be the perfect little dog for a family with young children still at home with a parent.
Bella is with a 501c3 rescue and is looking for a home with someone home part of the time, fenced in yard, and another playful dog. Balla’s adoption fee is $300 and includes her spay, heartworm pills, worming, immunizations and she has a HomeAgain microchip.

To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Osseo Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Beagle for sale in Osseo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog from a breeder in Osseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Osseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Osseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Osseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
