found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Here is what else his foster family had to say:
Jase is happy to just hang around the house all day with his people and just go out for a short walk in the morning and evening. He does LOVE to roll in the snow! He is very patient with everyone, and always approaches with a wagging tail and happy face. He never jumps up or nips. Although he is a real people lover, he is not as interested in other animals. He will tolerate another dog in the home and will sometimes play if they are calm friendly dogs but he can't tolerate dogs that are trying to jump on him or that are too energetic. He really just thinks he is a person and wants to be with the people.
Jase is a real character and has some odd quirks. He refuses to cross some roads in our neighbourhood, but we have no idea why. There is nothing unusual about the roads he avoids, and he will happily cross other, including train tracks. This has mystified us a bit, but it is pretty easy to just find a different route. He gets happy when he sees you getting dressed for outdoors, and wants to come with you, but will stay if you say so. I think he would play fetch if we had a big yard, we play in the house sometimes, he loves to get silly with us, but calms right down when you are finished. He LOVES to roll in the snow, I bet in a back yard let loose he would have so much fun in the snow! He is very quiet, whines when he needs to go out, he does bark when people are unlocking the front door or coming up the front step, but as soon as the person comes in he lays down again.
Jase is actually perfect in the home. I have never met a more well behaved dog. He doesn't steal food, or chew things, or anything at all. I can leave food on the coffee table and go upstairs to grab something and when I come back it will still be there. Jase has obviously learned somewhere that he is not allowed into the upstairs of houses, so he stays on the first floor, but could learn to come upstairs if encouraged.
Jase knows come, sit, stay, paw and lie down, and we are teaching him 'sit pretty' He is fully housetrained. He whines when he needs to go out, and never goes in the house. He is crate trained, although he doesn't love his crate, he will go in if he has too. Once he is in, he is dead quiet and will just lay down and go to sleep. We stopped crating Jase after the first couple of nights because he is so good we felt comfortable leaving him out during the day and at night. Jase is leash trained, and walks very nicely. He never tries to bolt out the door, but does come to the door to greet you when you get home.
Jase would be ideal for just about anyone. He is a fantastic dog. He is so nice and easy to live with we had a serious discussion about adopting him ourselves! He is quiet enough for homes with people who are very busy or unable to live a very active lifestyle, but loves going out for walks, and loves to play fetch so he would suit someone who wanted a dog to play with.
He would be a great dog to have around as he is so gentle and patient, and plays so gently that kids can have all sorts of fun with him. Jase does like having people home when he can, so a home with people around often would be great.
If you would like to make Jase part of your family, please submit an application for consideration.
