Adopted 4-19-14. Original bio below:
Joy is a 1.5 to 2 year old, pure-bred Yorkshire Terrier female, who weighs about 6.5 lbs. This little beauty is a very gentle, easy-going dog. She needs a home that's more quiet to match her serene, mellow disposition. A noisy, busy or hectic home isn't right for her. Joy needs an all adult home where there is at least one other small dog that's close to her age, size, and disposition. She's lived with other Yorkies/small dogs her whole life, gets along great with them, and wouldn't be happy as an only dog. While she enjoys playing with other small dogs, she isn't a big-time player. Dominant, hyper, "in your face" or "wild" type dogs will not work with Joy. Humans are her definite favorite and she loves to get and give attention/love. She loves to be in your lap or your arms, and also to sleep next to you. True to her Yorkie heritage, Joy is happy, affectionate, playful, sweet, smart, and has an excellent temperament. She needs a bit more work to be 100% potty trained. She enjoys chewing on bully sticks/deer antlers, and hanging out with her pack and human family. She eats her meals and sleeps in a wire crate at her foster home. Joy is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and just had a dental by our vet. She's also had a vet exam, and been professionally groomed. If you have the right type of home for this feminine little Yorkie female, email us at 1yorkiesrescue@gmail.com for an adoption application. Joy's adoption donation is $700 and includes her lifetime microchip registration.
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog, and save the life of a homeless pet!
