Meet Roo! She is a 1-yr old intelligent, energetic, bouncy italian greyhound/mini pincher or Pharaoh Hound. Roo was found as a stray in San Bernardino County and turned into the Devore Animal Shelter.

She has been in foster care since February and is learning the proper etiquette for an inside dog. Roo is being crate trained/potty trained and taught how to walk properly on a leash. She already knows the commands "sit and "wait" and is working on "leave it."

Her foster family is consistently amazed by her intelligence and perceptiveness. It is clear that she had to use her wits to survive on the streets. Roo would make a phenomenal agility dog or hiking partner, she is VERY athletic! She is currently living with 3 other dogs and 2 cats.

The ideal home for Roo is with an active family that has another medium to high energy/medium sized dog and preferably no cats. Roo loves to chase them and since she is a sight hound, this would be an instinct difficult to train out of her. If you do have a cat that likes to run and wrestle though, it might work out!
