Barnaby's Story...
Barnaby is an adorable, 11 month-old, male Beagle/Basset mix who ended up at the city shelter as a stray. He must have belonged to someone, because this hound dog is as friendly as they come! This poor pooch just wants love and attention and he's now ready to find his permanent home. He LOVES other dogs and can run and play for hours. He also loves kids and his ideal home would be with an active family, another dog, and a fenced yard.

Barnaby is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. Adoption fee is $175.

Barnaby, a Brooklyn Beagle/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basset Hound for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Beagle/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basset Hound breeders who help with Beagle/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
