TWYLA's Story...
Twyla as you can see is a beautiful Catahoula mix young lady. She has a smooth, very soft coat that has gorgeous markings. We think she is about a year old, so she has the birthday of 2/25/13. She has a slim build and weighs 36 lbs. however she could stand to put on 3-5 more lbs. Twyla was found as a stray and took residence on the front porch of a nice couple who kept her until we had room in our foster care system. She has several playmates to choose from and she gets along with them all. Twyla’s favorite playmate is a 12 week old puppy, they play great together. Twyla seems to enjoy tug a war with a toy and pull the puppy and toy all over the house. They are very comical to watch. Twyla is very affectionate and loves attention. She would love to be a lap dog and doesn’t understand she is a bit too large for that. She will come up to you and lay her head on your leg for some attention. She is indeed a sweetheart. Twyla has good house manners. She will go in a crate with encouragement. We are working on housetraining and she is catching on. Twyla would make any family a wonderful, loving companion. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TWYLA, a Salem Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Salem, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
