Well finally I am ready to look for a home all my own! My name is Munchkin and I came from a situation where there were tons and tons of dogs in a very small trailer. At some point in time someone either kicked me or hit me with something in my face so hard it broke my jaw! Thanks to my old fractured jaw which has healed over, my mouth is not aligned and my tooth sticks out a little to far on one side. The folks in rescue say it is cute and gives me character. The vet has said there is nothing more that needs to be done as it is healed and it does not bother me to eat or drink. I do breathe a litle louder and every once in a while you may have to clean out one of my nostrils but I promise that allll my loving will be worth it!! Since I was pretty much left to my own devices 24/7, without structure, or much human contact, I did whatever I wanted. As a result I had no idea about housetraining or human kindness. My foster mommy has been working very hard with me and I am happy to say that I am doing awesome!! With proper consistensy I can only imporove. To top it all off I was never really on a leash before so that is new to me too!!! I am very good about not pottying in my crate though so as long as you are consistent with me and use the crate properly I will be a good girl for you. It takes me a bit to warm up to you humans (afterall I lived with TONS of dogs only) but once I do....look out!! I LOVE to play with humans, dogs, cats, kids,,,,you name it and I play with it!! When the fun and games slow down I am alllll about cuddling and giving hugs and kisses!! One thing you should be aware of is that I have a tail that NEVER stops wagging, I am soooo happy to be living my new life that I'm constantly "smiling". Due to my previous horrible jaw injury I have the "unlady-like" trait of snoring like a bear...I'm not proud of it but I can't help it and my foster family seems to find it rather endearing. Now, let's discuss my breed mix. It's kinda hard to say what smaller mix I am due to the abuse which stunted the growth of my facial structure. However, everyone that meets me says that I my fur looks like that of a yellow lab and that I have the "happy-go-lucky" personality to match. Because I'm under 30 lbs the girls are guessing I may be mixed with some sort of terrier?? AND, I play like a terrier...so if you have other dogs you better have a talk with them and make sure that they are ready for lots of playtime!! That's right....if you have older dogs that can't be bothered with "kickin it" you should probably check out some of the other more laid back pups lookin for a home. The more excitement and fun the better!! The ONLY thing I am NOT fond of is car rides...it's not that I am fearful it's that I have what you humans refer to as "carsickness". The first few years of my life were literally horrific but things are certainly looking up for me now and all that's missing is my own family. So, c'mon....take a chance on me!!! Love Munchkin.
