*~* In addition to socialization and exercise outside the home, Anika requires a home with an enclosed yard that will provide plenty of space for exercise. *~*
Anika is a female Terrier/Schnauzer mix only 1 year in age. She is unique looking, to put it mildly! Anika has a chocolate brown coat that is dusted on top with shiny silver coloring. Her fur is wavy and soft, medium in length and easy to brush out and maintain. Anika is a medium sized dog and currently weighs 37 pounds, but she is significantly underweight and her normal weight should be close to 50 pounds. Anika was brought in stray to the shelter, severely neglected and obviously without access to food. She is a great eater and has already welcomed many bowls of dog food. Anika is very affectionate and definitely smart because she rapidly adjusted from street life to home life. Within days, Anika has become comfortable with everything around her. Her tail seems to always be thumping as she joyfully expresses her delight in being cared for and valued. This young dog deserves a chance at a normal life and we think she is going to make an outstanding, fun, easy going pet and companion. Anika is simple to train and eager to please her people. She listens to commands and tries hard to obey. There is only one Anika and we promise you will fall head over heels in love with her when you meet her. We did! Anika is ready for her new forever home today!
Anika’s adoption donation is $250 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Anika is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Cecilia and is ready for her forever home.
