My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

MEET LITTLE HARPER...."Harper's Bazaar" is her nickname! This 1.5 yr old, peanut of a pup is 7 lbs of tan/black, silky soft coated, adorable Yorkie Shih Tzu mix. She came from the Moreno Valley shelter and we were shocked that she ended up with us. Maybe it was because she looked like a gremlin when she was in the shelter. Words cannot describle how sweet this dumplin' is. Harper loves everyone, everything, and is a hyper little imp who loves to be loved! She is a kissy doodlebug who can hold her own in any circumstance. She is a bit of a wild child....but wants to please you. As tiny as she is, she has a big personality and is not good with dominant dogs. That being said, she likes most dogs, big or small....but seems to prefer males. She LOVES squeaky toys!! She loves to go for walks and is good doing her business outside or on a pp pad. On a regular schedule, she will be great. What she doesn't like is being left alone and must go to a home with another dog. She does settle down, but would much rather be with someone -- canine or human -- 24/7. Harper will need training to be the best little girl she can be and deserves to be in a home that will treasure her. Kids, a male dog (probably one who is bigger than she is, as she can be quite alpha) who will play with her and a doting family will make all Harper's wishes and dreams of a forever home come true.

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID

We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

We currently hold our weekly adoption events every Sunday (unless we are doing a special event) at the WESTFIELD CENTURY CITY MALL located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., Century City, Los Angeles 90067. Enter off Santa Monica Blvd and park in the ORANGE section in the parking structure. Take the escalator up and follow the signage. We will be located near the Brooks Brothers (look for the purple tent in the Plaza between the two buildings) from 12 - 4PM

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!

Don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on upcoming events!

See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption…and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.
