Junior's Story...
My name is Junior. I am a purebred black dachshund. I am black with a few white hairs on my muzzle but I am only 5 years old. I am mostly housebroken and am looking for a home that will give me lots of love and attention. No crates please! I am the sweetest, most lovable dog. I love everyone and like to sit and snuggle with you. I am smart and want to please. I would like to be in a home with older kids only, not young ones. I am overweight but am losing by running and playing with my foster brothers. I am having a dental and getting microchipped and then I will be ready for my new home! I am so special and I will be a wonderful pet for someone. Please ask about me! My adoption fee is $300 and I am worth every penny foster mom says.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Junior, a Williamsburg Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Williamsburg, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Williamsburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williamsburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williamsburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williamsburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
