Cola's Story...
Cola is a 4 year old chocolate lab/rottie mix who was saved from a gassing shelter in North Carolina. Cola is a BIG girl at 74 pounds, and she is full of playful energy. If you're looking for a big ball of fun for your family, Cola is your girl. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She's full of energy, and loves to play with her "baby" dog toy. She is good with other dogs with proper introduction, and uninterested in cats, other than wanting to play with them. Cola will be a fantastic family dog with a little bit of training. Right now she's so excited to be free, she wants to play non-stop. Cola's adoption fee is $150.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cola, a Hockessin Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Hockessin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hockessin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hockessin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hockessin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hockessin paves the way for another one to be saved.
