Al's Tail Kicker's Story...
We are calling this sweet little black 21 month old girl Jessie. She has come to us as an early retiree and is now learning all about living in a home with small dogs, and she tested cat tolerant.

Jessie has perfect house manners, sleeps all night on a doggie bed beside the bed, eats like a champ and is about as sweet although still timid as they come.

Jessie will tell us more as she experiences more new stuff.

The x-racing Greyhounds are being fostered in our private homes. We teach them about living as a family member with lots of love and a few rules. Check out our website, www.greyhoundrescue.org to obtain additional information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Al's Tail Kicker, a Knoxville Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
