Sid's Info...

Sid's Story...
Meet Sid, a 5 year old chihuahua! Sid was found as a stray wandering along a busy road all by himself. Some people passing by were able to catch him, and brought him to the shelter. When Sid arrived at the shelter some of his toe nails were far overgrown, and he had infections in both ears. It was obvious that whoever his previous owners were, they didn't take the best care of him.

Since he's been with us Sid has gone on a couple day trips and weekend visits to foster homes. After he adjusted to the new environment he was very laid back. He did well with the other dogs and cats in the home. He's not 100% housetrained, but is well on his way to be. Sid needs a quiet home without children. He needs someone who understands that he's had a rough life and is willing to accept and work with him and his quirks.

Sid is up to date on shots, neutered, and has a microchip. All that's missing now is YOU! Do you think your home would be a good fit for Sid? The shelter is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sid, a Youngwood Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
