Hi there! I'm Atticus. My brother Liam and I are pretty excited that we arrived in Colorado right in time for the snow. When it first started falling down I sat in front of the door and barked at it since I wasn't sure what it was. I notice most things and then check with my foster folks to make sure that everything is ok. I am a five month old male retriever mix; some folks call me a Black Golden. I weigh 32 pounds and have a very silky and shiny coat. Even though I am pretty big, my favorite thing to do is sit in your lap and get hugs and tummy rubs. I love being with my people and am very alert to where they are and where they are going. I sleep through the night and use my piddle pad. During the day I do my business outside and I haven't had one accident in my house. I get along really well with Hurley, the HUGE St. Bernard, who is my foster brother. I think he likes me better than some of the other fosters he has had over the years since I don't bug him at all. I just like to sleep next to him. I think I am pretty smart for a puppy. I learned to sit in just a few hours and now I sit every time I see a treat and when it is time to eat. I LOVE to eat! Being outside is really fun for me. I can climb rock walls and am very agile. I love exploring and I am getting really good at finding all of Hurley's old beef bones.
