My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Indiana is one of a number of dogs that Director Greg Willey rescued from another county. These dogs were literally tied to trees with very little shelter during this cold winter. Indiana is a gorgeous 6 year old black lab mix that would love to finally find the home of her dreams. Indiana is very strong and active and would benefit from having an experienced owner. It's probably best if kids in the family were older due to her activity level and strength. With some patience, love and training she'll be a great pet.

On March 11, 2014, Abbie was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. She is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institute. Abbie is being trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.

If you are interested in adopting a prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.
