Red's Story...
Hi! I'm Red. I was born the day after valentines day in 2011. I'm a laid back attentive Husky Shepard cross. I used to live at Grandmother Bay which is way, way up north. I had to move to Saskatoon because my caring family thought I'd be better suited to a loving forever home around Saskatoon.
I'm a casual and loyal guy indoors, but outdoors I love to have fun!
I like meandering and slow tempo walks a lot. My human puts a leash on me but I'm not sure why. I like to stay close and it usually just drags in my feet.
I can catch, but I don't really know any tricks yet. I'm trying to understand. In the mean time, the treats I'm getting are fantastic!
I like my own space so I keep to myself most of the time, though I will come and hang out with my new pack of fur buddies.
I love getting Pets! I'm very approachable but I probably won't bother you for any extra attention.
I'm okay being alone, but I'd rather have friends around me. I hope to find a forever home that has the companionship and love that I can return to them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red, a Saskatoon Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
