Squeeks's Story...
Meet Squeeks! Squeeks is a five year old boy who escaped being euthanized when his owners could no longer care for him. Squeeks has something called "flea dermatitis" which is a technical term for a flea allergy. It's quite common but unfortunately caused him to have hair loss and scabbing on his body. Squeeks has since been treated and is starting to regrow his hair and heal. Squeeks is still very shocked about what happened to him and he hasn't yet adjusted to this strange new environment. Squeeks just needs someone to show him love, he craves a gentle touch. He loves when he gets special, quiet attention. Squeeks deserves a nice, calm, home environment where he can be loved and appreciated.

We Spay/Neuter all of our cats and they receive the necessary medical care including Rabies, Three Distemper vaccines, De-worming, De-fleaing, Microchipping, and Testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Care for Animals is located at 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during hospital hours. Our hours are Monday 8-7, Tuesday — Thursday 8-5 and Friday 9-3. We’re also happy to set up weekend appointments.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Squeeks, a Warwick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Warwick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
