Red's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Red's Story...
Sweet Red was being dropped off in a kill shelter in SC by her mom who could no longer take care of her. We were in the right place at the right time and took her to a foster home where she could wait for her new forever home. Red is a beautiful girl who is about 4 years old. She is housebroken, not high energy, and wonderful company. She gets along great with other dogs and is a total lovebug! We cannot be ceretain but she looks like a purebred Aussie. If you think Red would make a great companion for you and your family, please copy and paste this link to your browser for our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Full vetting including shots and spay, and her transport up north included in her $425 adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red, a Westport Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Westport, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
