Tarzan's Story...
Hi, I'm Tarzan and I was born around April 2013. No one knows where I started, but I wound up in a cage at Animal Control. There were so many cages and other cats there. I was scared and I didn't understand but I sure got lucky! The GHP people took me out of there and I got to go live in a house. I am so much happier now that I have toys and friends and someone to pet me.I am very affectionate and love being petted. The only thing I love more than being petted is being held. The GHP people call me a sweetie.I pretend I don't know what that means so that they'll tell me again (shh, don't tell!). Everyone here is great, but I really want a home of my own, where I get to stay furever. Is that home with you? If you have questions about me or are interested in adopting me, please contact Carol at 404-312-4945 or adoptions@gahomelesspets.com or fill out an application at www.gahomelesspets.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tarzan, a Smyrna Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Smyrna, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Smyrna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smyrna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smyrna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smyrna paves the way for another one to be saved.
