My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Red! Well, it will already feel like you know him, because he's never met a stranger. Red is about as sweet and friendly as them come. He's currently living with two dogs, a cat and small kids and he is doing beautifully at managing such a busy household. It's like he's been here all along. Red knows some basic commands, and he's eager to please so training Red to do more than sit & stay isn't likely to be hard. He's good on the leash, and likes riding in the car. Red is not a particularly large dog, and although he enjoys playing with the other dogs for short bursts, I would hardly call him high energy. He's a pretty laid back dude who enjoys the finer things in life, like Nylabones, snuggles, eating every day and couches. He will make a great companion to another dog, he's curious about cats, but not overly so. He enjoys the children and is also not overly concerned with their running, jumping and screaming. If you are looking for a handsome dog to call your own, look no further. He's the complete package. Red is estimated to be about 3 years old and he is about 49 pounds, but will probably gain a few more. His foster mom thinks he's a little younger than 3 based upon his teeth and energy. Hurry, he won't last long. Someone is sure to scoop up this sweet guy. Please apply online at www.codrl.org. Red's adoption fee is $150 to help with vetting.

Central Ohio Dog Rescue is not a shelter. All of our dogs are fostered in our homes and treated as family until they are adopted. We will not ship dogs and all adopters will need to complete an application before meeting one of our dogs. Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered will be adopted out with a spay/neuter agreement and refundable deposit. Dogs/puppies are NOT adopted out of state without a positive vet reference. Prospective adopters must be at least 24 years of age to adopt. All pets in the household must be spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations and heartworm. We process many applications and may not respond to every applicant. We try to chose the best home for each dog based upon the individual dog's needs. Please check out our website for additional information: www.codrl.org
