Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Boomer came from a small high kill shelter. One of the volunteers felt sorry for him when she saw he had an injured leg and took him to her vet for xrays. We were told his leg was going to have to be amputated. E-Rescue brought Boomer to Houston and thanks to donations, we got him in to see one of the best Orthopedic Vets in our area who managed to save his leg.
He went to the home of our of our volunteers to recover and became fast friends with the resident foster dog, Ernie. They boys have become very close and when Boomer had to go back for more surgery, Ernie was very depressed.
Boomer and Ernie also get along with the resident cat , in fact they get along so well, all three nap together on sofa and have been known to ply together too.
E-Rescue woul love to see these two boys go the the same home if at all possible...so if you have been seeking two wonderful dogs that get along great together and are cat friend, Ernie and Boomer are them!
Becaue of Boomers healing leg and Ernie's fear of young children, we are seeking a home for them with gentle people over 12. Like we said, we would love to see them go to the same home but understand that is not always possible, however it not together a home with another friendly dog would be great.
