My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Emma. She is a very sweet, mellow girl. She is housebroken and good with other dogs. Previous owner says she is a bit much for small kids as she likes to "herd" them. She is an older dog but she still has plenty of life left. If you are just looking for a mellow companion to go walking with or just cuddle on the couch, this is your girl. Emma is looking for her forever home but she also could use a foster home. If you think you could foster her until she finds her forever home, please contact Debbie at 244-4582.

Bio from Emma's previous owners :
Emma is a loyal companion. She is a great dog for an older family with no small children. We adopted her four years ago and have really enjoyed having her as part of our family. We have found that when she is around small children that move around quickly she will catch them... using her teeth. We have had to keep her in a separate room when our nieces and nephews come over to visit, however we just had a baby and we are unable to isolate her from our family. It is not fair to her and she deserves to be part of a family.
She loves to play with other dogs, we take her to the dog park almost everyday. She does not like her nails being trimmed. Our first year with Emma she had to have an operation on her right back knee. She moves around fine on it now, but it is something to watch when she plays with other dogs and shifts her weight quickly.
we will miss her very much but we want her to have a full life where she can safely be with people regularly.
