My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NAYA. This special little girl deserves more from life than she has had so far. But she is rescued now, and we are determined to find her the best home ever -- nevermore to suffer. (See full story on our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Oregon-Dachshund-Rescue-INC/274984542506) Naya is now receiving full update of all medical needs, and is under evaluation for adoption requirements. She will need lots of love and attention. Naya is just over 1 year old and has given birth although she was too young to have babies. This pretty little black female dachshund is now spayed and needing gentleness and love. She should be your one and only little princess (no other animals - strong prey drive) and no young children.

Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.

All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.

Can you give her a happy, carefree life that she deserves? If interested, please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.odr-inc.org and email it to: jrangan@comcast.net - the adoption committee will be in touch with you within 48 hours so please be patient as we are solely volunteer run.
