My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A good Samaritan found poor Delaney in August 2012, tied outside with no access to food, water, or shelter. They turned her into a shelter, who reached out to A & S. At the time, she had become so emaciated and sunburned that her bones were visible and she had blisters all over her body - even her eye rims!

She is very loving and sweet. About 2-1/2 to 3 years old, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative (and on preventative), and spayed. She has lots of energy, loves people, gets along with other large dogs if they are gentle with her (she is not fond of being jumped on).

She is too rough for small dogs and hasn't been tried her around cats. She goes to work with her foster mom and likes to hang out in the office and the warehouse. She doesn't even bark at strangers that come into the building. She is working her manners and can be stubborn at times! She hasn't shown any resource guarding and will give up toys readily.
Delaney will only be placed into a forever home that is located within 1.5 hours of Lake & McHenry Counties in Illinois...(sorry, NO exceptions).** If you are interested in adopting this lovely girl, please visit our website at www.aandsrescue.com and fill out an application.
