Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bubba! “Bubs” is a BIG boy and is absolutely the perfect cat. He loves playing, being held, petted, brushed, and carried around. He is litterbox trained and a champ with the scratching post. He also loves rubbing up on the big dog in his foster home. Bubs is at least 2 or 3 years old and was found as a stray with a severe tail injury. His tail did have to be amputated, but he is now fully vetted & recovered and looking for his forever home. Bubs does have Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and needs to be in a home with no other cats (unless they too are FeLV+). FeLV is contagious to other cats, but is a feline only disease. Bubba is currently very healthy and asymptomatic. People who have FeLV-positive cats just need to be aware that these cats may have a shorter life span and have weakened immune systems – any health issues should be addressed by your veterinarian immediately. Bubba would do great with dogs, and probably children.
FeLV-positive cats can live perfectly happy lives, and they deserve to do so! Give this special boy a chance, and you won’t be disappointed!
All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.
