DJ & Red's Story...
Meet DJ & RED. they are in need of a new home because their family is going through some serious medical problems and can no longer care for them.
DJ (black female) and RED (blonde male) are a sister and a brother.
They are rescue dogs. We think they're about 9 years old.
Their Mom nurtured them and socialized them from a "pack" home where they were born into a group of 20 dogs from a troubled home.
They have never been separated and have always boarded together.
They love affection. They love being petted and held. They love 4 wheeling and walking. They are so good on the leash! Their Mom has really worked with them to heel and walk with her. They understand crate sleeping, although they do not always do that.
Their Mom does not trust them around small children.
DJ has Addison's disease and gets an injection once a month and his medicine will be sponsored. Please give these wonderful dogs a new loving home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DJ & Red, a Freeport Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Freeport, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
