Yoga's Story...
AVAILABLE 02-22-14 When the house they were living in developed water leaks, the family had to move to an apartment. Unfortunately, the landlord doesn't allow pets; so Yoga was brought to the Animal Shelter. Yoga is a 2 year old black and tan Beagle Mix. She probably weighs about 25-30lbs. Yoga used to live with a Jack Russell, so should be okay with other dogs. She tested negative for heart worms, so is now on preventative. We've caught up her shots and had Yoga spayed. So now she is ready for adoption by someone who will love and care for her forever. If that might be you, please come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and meet Yoga.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yoga, a Elizabeth City Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
