My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gorgeous BeiBei was one of the toughest intakes we have done. He was surrendered by owners who fell far short of their sacred responsibility to him, and his reaction to the betrayal was traumatic. Shelter life is inherently stressful for dogs, and owner surrenders seem to have the worst time of it. Just four years old, BeiBei was a rescue statistic facing euthanasia.

It took BeiBei a few days to warm up, and he didn't see us as the good guys at first. Slowly he began to trust us, and now, BeiBei has blossomed into his glorious and flamboyant Eskie nature. He would do well in an experienced Eskie home, with folks who revel in the considerable joyous quirks that this spectacular breed offers.

BeiBei is a large, standard Eskie weighing 38 pounds. He is a stunning dog, with a full lush, Eskie coat and dense undercoat. He will need some consistent brushing and professional groomings at least four times a year to look his best. A grain free diet rich in nutrients and Omega fats will ease the grooming challenge.

BeiBei would best thrive in an adult home with dog fanciers who have some solid rescue dog experience. He gets along well with other dogs and seems to have a more neutral than Alpha temperament. BeiBei is not the best choice for novice dog owners or families with small children. He needs solid, stable Alpha leadership from his adopters, as well as continued obedience work. BeiBei has recovered beautifully from his case of "shelteritis" and now needs folks to lead him, gently and firmly, down the road to Canine Good Citizenship.

BeiBei has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should have appropriate expectations of a recently neutered male dog, and should expect the occasional marking accident as BeiBei transitions to his new home.

BeiBei is in excellent health and has been neutered. He is vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper and bordatella. He has been microchipped and de-wormed and has tested negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis.
