Canela - Bonded to Isabelle
Who doesn't love a little bit of cinnamon? Meet Canela (the Spanish word for cinnamon spice), a handsome 10 year old purebred blonde Labrador (with docked tail) who comes to us due to a foreclosure situation. Canela has the soulful spirit of a service dog. His demeanor is beyond gentle, with his temperament just outstanding. Anyone looking for a pet with whom to visit hospitals or to comfort the ill or disabled could not find a better dog. We are endeavoring to place Canela with his best friend Isabelle, a senior Cocker Spaniel who is equally sweet and demure (her profile is listed separately on our website). Canela is a healthy boy who has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. He is currently being treated for Lyme (having come to us from a rural setting) however he is responding well to antibiotics and should be fully recovered soon. Canela will be treated to a dental cleaning prior to adoptive placement and will be sporting a new leash and collar at the time of going home.
