My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A note from Kane's foster mom:

The reason I am contacting you today is because we have a sweet boy named Kane that we are trying to rehome. We took him in as a rescue/foster failure when he was 8 weeks old, 2 years ago, and have been raising and loving him. He is a WONDERFUL dog. He appears to be, according to our vet, a border collie/golden retriever mix, otherwise known as a Gollie. He is on the higher end of the energy level and does great with children of all ages and other animals. (dogs, cats, birds, etc.) All of my children have moved out of the home in the last several years and Kane has more energy than I can keep up with as he is always wanting to play or "do something" Basically, he has more energy than I can handle alone and I feel like I'm not giving him what he needs and deserves. He is fully vetted, neutered, UTD on all shots, has been on HW preventative his whole life and is completely house and kennel trained. He heels well on walks and loves loves loves to run and play. He will play fetch with a softball and knows all sorts of tricks. When we had 6 kids in the house he was constantly entertained and played with so his energy always had compensation as someone was always willing to play with him. But the kiddos are grown now :( and have all left to pursue their dreams, leaving Kane with no playmates and looking to me to run and play with him. I, sadly, do not have that kind of energy and it breaks my heart in a million pieces to know that he doesn't have the life he deserves with me.

So I'm hoping that you have someone, maybe an active family with kids who may be looking for a wonderfully well mannered and completely trained and playful dog to give a forever home to. He loves to run and play with kids and will roll over immediately, at any given time, for a belly rub. He is very gentle and doesn't jump on people and takes baths and grooming very well. He loves to be brushed and we trim the hair between his toes with a moustache trimmer on a regular basis; he lays perfectly still for it and seems to enjoy it as well. He loves to snuggle up with you and will lay beside you or at the perimeter of the room while we watch tv or visit with friends. He is a morning breath sniffer, LOL, and will walk up gently and get close for you to lightly blow in his face. He knows sit, stay, roll over, and leave it. No aggression whatsoever. He gets along well with every foster that I have ever brought into my home including puppies and kittens. I have tried on my own to rehome him, but I just haven't come a cross a perfect family that I approve of and most that look at him want an outside dog, which, to me, isn't even an option. I am attaching some pictures and videos of him so you can see his personality and great looks. He is so gorgeous and has a silky soft coat. He does need regular brushings on his tummy and hind quarters. I truly hope that you can help me. I feel like I am at a loss at this point and have nowhere else to turn.
