Sweet Cindy is an ~8 year old shih Tzu mix surrendered in urgent need of medical care... her owners said she stopped eating for several days and they couldn't afford to bring her to the vet. We brought her right to our vet where she was diagnosed with a pyometra, a potentially infection of the uterus very common in older unspayed dogs. She had emergency surgery/spay right away and is a happy healthy girl now. She is a sweet friendly girl, about 15-20lbs full grown and looking for a home that will make sure she gets proper care for the rest of her life. We are in need of donations toward her medical bills...we have taken in MANY seniors and urgent medical cases lately and need funds as we wouldn't want to have to turn away a savable dog like Cindy due solely to lack of money! Donations can be sent to Second Chance Pet Adoption League, PO Box 221, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438 or sent through paypal on our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com
We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage www.secondchance.petfinder.com and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.
