My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in adopting Carolina, please read our adoption policies and then contact us at huntsvillebunnies@hotmail.com. Thank you!

Hi! I'm Carolina! I'm one of six adult and three baby bunnies who were rescued from a horrible situation recently. I was owned by a man who only fed us every two or three days and was going to eat us! Considering what I've been through I'm very social and well-adjusted. I was rescued by a very kind couple and then taken into foster care by Huntsville Friends of Rabbits because I needed some extra attention. I've blossomed during my time here. I'm starting to figure out that people often like to give me yummy veggies, hay, and even craisins!

I do not like dogs or cats at all, and I don't think I would be good with small children either. I would probably be happiest in a home with adults or possibly with quiet older kids, too.
I am very curious about my surroundings and enjoy exploring. I can be quite opinionated, too! I'm also enjoying all kinds of toys. I never had any before! As I'm just being spayed, my litter skills are still developing but I show a lot of promise in that area!

I can be a little bit cage possessive, so I would be best in a home where I am in a pen or well bunny-proofed room. I would also like a home where I get tons of attention. I'm a smart girl, and I think I could even learn to do tricks!

So how about it? Would you like a spirited, curious girl like me?!

Carolina's fur is sleek and a beautiful shade of gray. She has adorable little white boots, too!

Wouldn't you love to help Carolina have her happy ever after? This girl deserves a fantastic forever home!

Our adoption policies:

The adoption fee is $50 which helps defray the considerable costs of spay/neuter, other veterinary expenses, food, and equipment. All of our rabbits have received a full vet check up and are spayed/neutered. We adopt only to indoor homes, and prefer adult-only homes. We do not adopt rabbits as pets for children. We consider homes with older children, dogs or ferrets on a case-by-case basis.

If you are over 21 and have the time, energy, love and financial resources to care for a rabbit (not to mention a good sense of humor!) we would be happy to talk to you about adopting one of our fabulous foster bunnies! Please email us at huntsvillebunnies@hotmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, including why you would like a bunny and your previous experience with rabbits (if any). Please include your phone number so we may call you about the adoption.

Please note we are a little picky – we love these bunnies and since they have already been through the shelter once we want to make sure they have a great home the second time around! We do screen applicants carefully, as well as require a home visit. We adopt only within a five hour drive of Huntsville, AL.
