Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Duke has spent the first 4 years of his life following his nose into trouble! He has been found several times and is currently in a foster home where he is learning to STAY when the door is open! Duke has an outgoing personality that makes everyone want to take care of him. Unfortunately for Duke that care included way too many bowls of kibble! Duke is a big boy, but even his 15 inch frame can’t carry 40 pounds!
This happy go lucky guy is very friendly and loving. He is more active than his weight would let you believe. He is often out in the yard on squirrel patrol or hunting down the local suicidal rabbit! He enjoys playing with his foster siblings, but is too mild mannered to play tug of war. He always gives up! He is house broken and never gets into anything that does not belong to the pack. He will occasionally mark someone’s food dish, if not watched! They call that behavior passive-aggressive, don’t they!
Duke is a very handsome guy who really wants to be a lap dog. He enjoys cuddling next to you and wiggles with joy when getting a belly rub. Duke walks well on a leash once the initial excitement is over and would probably make someone a great jogging buddy. Duke needs a family with lots of love, a secure yard and a commitment to diet and exercise for this wonderful boy.
