My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gracie Mae! Gracie is a 6 year old, spayed Beagle mix (maybe some Harrier Hound?). Gracie is very laid back and easy to please. She loves to just lounge around and occasionally play with her Nylabone. She is completely housetrained and does not require a crate. She has perfect manners inside the house!! Gracie should weigh around 40 lbs, however she is currently overweight. She does have hypothyroidism, which is a common human ailment and is also the most common hormone imbalance in dogs. Her body does not produce enough of the thyroid hormone, so she has to take a small pill twice a day. It is probably the most inexpensive, easy-to-maintain disorder in dogs. Gracie already eats twice a day, so giving her a pill in cheese is very easy and she loves it. Gracie’s medical needs were neglected before she came to Critter Cavalry. She is now on the right track and doing fantastic. She just needs to drop a few pounds! Gracie gets along great with everyone she meets and has lived with a toddler before. She also gets along great with dogs and cats. She would love a fenced in yard. Being a typical Hound, she loves the outdoors and would love to wander if not fenced in. Gracie has a reduced re-homing fee, is vaccinated, up-to-date with heartworm, micro chipped, spayed and promises to be a great addition to any family.
