Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is our wonderful, special boy Jitters with a unique and dramatic story. For years he lived in a feral colony were our volunteer and caregiver of the colony thought he was just another of the un-socialized kitties there that live out their lives in peace. But, when his buddy passed away she noticed that he acted a bit different. She then trapped him and took him to our vet. It turned out that poor Jitter was blind! He had lived outside blind for six years!! To our amazement he did so well at the vet visit that we know believe he was neglected or thrown out early in life as many male cats are when they reach maturity and are not neutered. We then took him to an eye specialist who confirmed that Jitter had been blind his whole life. Jitter has adjusted so well to life indoors. He is good with other cats and would love to have a nurturing cat or dog like little Sugar his buddy. He needs no special care just a person with a special heart. He finds his litter box just fine and eats very well as you can see. We've had other blind cats before and all adjust well. One of our volunteer even has a blind AND deaf cat. She learns new things everyday, even at 19 years old!! We would like Jitters prospective home to visit with him a couple of times before taking him home because he is very aural and learns voices quickly. Please call 860-828-5287 for our special boy!
