Apollo's Story...
A MISSION TO FIND APOLLO A HOME

It seems that a lot of people overlook senior Weims - but they do not know what they are missing in my case! I am a very handsome boy who is 11-years-young and has some great years left in me - that's for sure! Not only do I have the energy of a 5-year-old dog, but my foster mom says that I play like a puppy! If you are looking for a very well-behaved Weim to call your own - I am your boy.

I love being in my new foster home because they let me get up onto this thing called a sofa and lounging on it makes me feel so special. I especially love it when the sun streams in and I catch a few rays - it always makes me so sleepy. They laugh at me because I cannot keep my eyes open - I just do not want to miss a thing!

I am also learning to give kisses, but am still a little stingy with them, so people consider themselves lucky when they get one! I live with another Weim and we get along fine, but truth be told - I would rather be the only apple of your eye and get all your attention and affection!

I love it when people come over to visit. I get all excited and jump around like a kangaroo! My mom is trying to get a good video of me hopping, but I am not going to let that happen because I want to show you in person myself after I move in..... Gotta keep a little mystery!!!

I would be an ideal candidate for a mid or high-level energy person or family who has a lot of time to spend hanging with me. I cherish my time outdoors and look forward to my walks and playtime. I love to play hide and seek with the squirrels in my back yard and go bananas when they scurry up the tree! I have not caught one yet, but I am working on it.

I am crate trained, but could free roam if you let me and am well trained and understand several commands. I have been a perfect house guest in my foster home, but would really like to be settled in my new home in time for Christmas, and only you can make that happen! Thanks for reading my bio and I hope you accept the GLWR Apollo mission. Remember, fine Weims get better with age!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Apollo, a Grand Haven Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Grand Haven, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Grand Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
