My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marlow was born in May of 2013. His breeds are unknown, but we are guessing maybe terrier/shiba inu/heeler type cross. He is not a very big boy and measures 17" at the shoulder and weighs 12 kilos. He's a little skinny but probably won't grow much bigger than this ! He was given a clean bill of health at his vet checkup and did not mind being poked and investigated by the vet at all !

Since being in his foster home he's met many cats and seems to ignore them or avoid them, and if they swipe him he runs away ! He has also done well with the resident dogs. Sometimes he can be shy or wary of a new dog or a new person but warms up very fast when he realizes there is no threat to him ! Life on the streets was probably very stressful for Marlow and he's doing well in learning to trust new people and dogs now he's in foster care. He sleeps in a crate at night with barely a sound, but receives lots of exercise during the day so would love to continue this with his new family. He'd make an awesome jogging buddy and very much enjoys being with his people. In his foster home Marlow has chased dogs smaller than himself when playing off leash outside so would likely do better living with dogs more his own size. He does still play like a puppy and loves games of chase or boxing so would like any dog sibling to enjoy this too!

Marlow knows sit and is learning his name quickly - he is an enthusiastic learner with treats as motivation but will wait for his turn in a group of dogs and does not push in. Marlow travels very well in a crate in the Van and does pretty good on leash too! He hasn't chewed anything he shouldn't and loves his antler bone to chew on. Marlow's coat is beautifully soft and a unique mix of stripes that gets him attention where ever he goes! Come meet Marlow and see for yourself !!
