My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tangerine (1.5-2 years old) was a scrawny stray who was a regular at a feeding site for a feral colony. His behavior marked him as clearly not being a feral, so the feeders contacted a woman who had done trapping there in the past, hoping she could trap and rescue the somewhat scruffy boy. Tangerine had other ideas -- namely, that the trap was totally unnecessary. When the woman showed up to trap him, he walked straight up to her and rubbed about her ankles, asking for pets and food. He willingly walked into the carrier and to his apparent delight was taken to a foster home. He’s been making up for lost food ever since, happily munching down on any food that he’s presented with. Tangerine remains somewhat aloof from other cats, but is willing to interact with them when they initiate the contact, exchanging sniffs and head bonks. When it comes to people though he is anything but aloof, having decided that his goal in life is to make the people around him feel loved. He’s a total cuddlebug, and loves nothing more than to have his belly rubbed. This tabby boy’s favorite place to be is the nearest lap, where he will purr contentedly for hours.
