My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Ringo and I'd love to meet you! I am an 8 month old Chihuahua/Beagle mix weighing in at 15 lbs, and I am sweet as pie. I didn't experience a lot in my previous life, so I am spending my days in a foster home overcoming my nervousness, and learning how to be a fun loving puppy. My foster Mom thinks that I'm doing great!

After a week of lots of love, treats, and space when I need it, I have learned that the world is not such a scary place after all. I think that taking walks or playing in the park, playing with tennis balls, finding sticks outside, and making new friends is really fun. I also love taking naps! I am a laid back guy for a pup my age, and although I enjoy activity outside, I'm just as happy hanging with you and cuddling.

I have been great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, as well as people. My foster Mom thinks that I'd do best living in a forever home with kids over the age of 5, who can give me space if I am nervous and want to take a break from the action. I have been fine with the older kids that I've met, I just don't have much experience with the really little ones.

I am housetrained and crate trained, and do just fine when left gated in the kitchen when my foster Mom is at work for the day. I also sleep through the night in my doggie bed. I am a fast learner and love treats! I respond to my name and am working on "sit". I am a quiet guy, but will alert you with a bark if I think something sounds funny outside.

I really need a patient person or family that will work with me during a transition, and praise me for being a social guy. I will re-pay you with kisses and a lifetime of love and gratitude! Thanks for reading about me, and considering adopting a rescue dog!

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
