Betty's Story...
Meet Betty - a beautiful white DSH female born approximately August 11, 2012. Betty is pretty independent and likes to be pet on her terms. She would make a great indoor / outdoor cat as she really wants to spend some time outside. Betty is quiet and does well by herself. Her way of playing includes mouth play, so potential adopters should know this - it is not mean mouth play, but some nibbling and nipping. Betty gets along with small dogs; large dogs are unknown. Betty is microchipped, has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated (age appropriate), de-wormed, and tested negative for FIV/Feluk. Call 507-451-4512 to meet Betty in her foster home. Her adoption fee is $100. (C&AL)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty, a Owatonna Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
