Juliet's Story...
Juliet is a DSH orange and white, striped tabby with beautiful markings and golden eyes. She is a 3 year old lovable cat. She is a very healthy, happy, playful cat. She's been spayed and is current on all of her vet visits and vaccinations. She is shy with strangers at first but once she gets to know you, she likes to curl up on your lap or nearby to be petted. She loves to play in running water, chase ribbons around, and pounce playfully on Romeo. She likes a lot of interaction and always wants to be nearby. Because of her human mom's allergies, she has had to keep Romeo & Juliet out of her bedroom, so in the morning, Juliet would reach her paws under her "mom's" bedroom door to let her know she misses her and it's time to get up. Juliet must be adopted with the love of her life, Romeo.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Juliet, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
