My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nicki is a 3 y/o male who found himself taken to the shelter because his family wasn’t willing to spend the time to ‘beagle proof’ their yard. This handsome red and white boy is 15 inches tall and weighs 28 pounds.

Nicki is the sweetest and most laid back dog you could ask for until he gets the scent of a rabbit! Once Nicki has the scent, he will dig out of the yard in pursuit of that critter. It is amazing how fast he can go from taking a slow stroll around the yard to digging franticly for freedom. Nicki will need a yard that is lined with large rocks or supervision when out in the yard. A rabbit free home would be perfect!

Nicki has great house manners and never gets into anything. He does not need to be kenneled, but will stay in his kennel quietly when asked. He has never had an accident in the house. He learned to use a dog door and enjoys the freedom it gives him. He plays well with the other beagles in his foster home, but prefers the company of humans. He will cuddle if invited up near you or will stand at your feet soaking up all the loving you can give. He loves sleeping on the bed next to you at night, but is more than happy to sleep on a dog bed nearby. This loving guy just needs a family to shower him with attention and make him feel as special as he is!
